Debates about the quality of oil always have dietitians in a tangle, disagreeing about the “best oil” that can be used. But researches say that the thing to bank on, doubtless, is any oil containing mono unsaturated fats. Mono unsaturated fatty acids are the best, including olive oil and perhaps followed by poly unsaturated fats. The ideal recommendation for a family is a 1:1 ratio of consumption of mono and poly unsaturated fats. Some food items have poly unsaturated fats and can be consumed in limited quantities. The ones to avoid are those with high saturated fats .While undoubtedly micro waved food is good for cardiac patients, by reducing the quantity of oil used; there are other questions about consuming such food. Olive oil has both mono unsaturated fats and omega 3, thereby making it the best in some dietitians’ notebooks. The key is to consume as little as possible to lead a healthy life.
