Few Things About Peptic Ulcer

Labels:

Peptic ulcer occurs in the stomach region of the body especially in the duodenum especially in the inner lining of the stomach. The digestive juices affects the intestine. This happens as a result of corrosion in the stomach’s outer layer. Ulcers are no longer incurable. As a result of extensive research medicines have been formulated to cure the disease quickly. As a result of ulcers strong juices are produced in one’s body that can cause great damage to the esophagus. This strong fluid in the medical jargon is known as Pepsin.
These ulcers are caused by a certain kind of a bacteria called helicobacter pylori. This bacteria destroys the mucus layer because the function of the mucus layer is to prevent the digestive juices from affecting the stomach. Some tell symptoms for this disease include weight loss, a burning sensation in the stomach region, lack of appetite, back pain, nauseating feeling, dizziness and vomiting. Doctors test the presence of this disease through a test called endoscopy.
