As long as we are able to do our work we are not concerned about the effects it will have on us.The most common problem that arises due to excessive work is back pain. You might not feel it yourself. But you always know some one who is complaining of back pain. Not that we are not affected. It is just that we do not realize it at the early stages. It is quite surprising that the illegal usage of steroids has even crept into the Olympics arena. This actually suggests degeneration of values and sportsmanship among players. It is high time that the participants stopped consumption of steroids because they must bear it mind that there are so many viewers out there who actually consider them role models the players must totally condemn the idea of steroids in sports and act with a sense of social responsibility. A survey reveals that almost 68% of the participants in the Olympic Games consumed Anabolic steroids. The players feel compelled to consume steroids in Olympics, more so than in any other event because they all have an urge to win the medal as they are representative of their respective countries. They used to buy steroids also because they are driven by passion to somehow win the medal. This is not a positive sign because the basic purpose of Olympics is to encourage healthy competition.

All of us are diet conscious and try every possible diet that would actually suit us and give us the perfect toned figure. But do we succeed? Not at all! This is not because we fail to follow the regime or that we aren’t committed enough to our goals, but it is because we have just forgotten what exactly is healthy. When you concentrate on healthy food, the body gets what it requires and thereby is in its best shape ever. The healthiest of foods that we disregard when it comes to being called healthy are those which help us burn our calories. These are grains, barley, yogurt, hot peppers, nuts, sprouts, onions, garlic, beans, green veggies, etc.Let us see how these help. Grains have very high protein content and fast burning carbohydrates which reduces blood pressure. Barley is vital for fat loss and it keeps your body from putting on fat. Green veggies contain high levels of nutrients and help lower cholesterol. Onions and garlic help the body to flush all dangerous toxins. Nuts help towards having a healthy heart and save us from all heart diseases. Beans are good for the skin as they help in flushing dangerous chemicals as they are high in potassium and antioxidants. Sprouts help in maintaining the immune system which will thereby prevent us from diseases and falling sick often. These are all a common range of foods that help us stay healthy, lively and beautiful.

The usage of steroids in sports has been a much debated topic for a long period of time. The usage of steroids has been a predominant factor in sports for quite sometime. How much ever the authorities try to impose restrictions there has been a constant use of steroids in the field of sports especially in athletics, cycling and baseball. Players used to buy steroids as it helps them to perform way better than they normally would. The usage of steroids has become so widespread that even high school students resort to steroids in order to get through important tournaments and other competitions. This situation can be made better by constantly reminding the contestants about having a moralistic and a focused approach. Of the two types of steroids, many people buy anabolic steroids in the field of sports because of media's propaganda. The player’s right from a young age should know the importance of fair play.

Though we are all not fat or obese we still think we can reduce a few more pounds and look better. I don’t deny that we look good. But be it people who are obese, normal or skinny, all of them have this feeling in their corner of their hearts – ‘how nice it would be to shed off few pounds’. There is no big technical session where we analyze how to lose weight. These are just very simple techniques or rather practices that could habituate to shed those extra pounds that bother you day in and day out. Drinking water – how do you think drinking water affects our body? Now there is this process of water retention that the human body follows.
Whenever you drink water, it does not flush out all of the water that you drink. But it retains a portion of it for future use thinking that the fluid might not be available at a later stage. When this happens, this water clogs in your body and adds to your weight. Curious what to do about it? Drink more water. Yes. Drinking more water makes the human bodies feel that it has excessive fluids and when it is always readily available why save it. Therefore it flushes it all and helps reduce your weight. Get started right away!

Most of us at some point of time have thought about quitting smoking. We do follow the regime but somehow deviate and don’t succeed at it. There could be a lot of reasons for getting addicted to it, but we’ll only think of how to quit smoking now. I’m sure every one of you wants to quit smoking for some reason or the other. You could want to do this to satisfy your family and friends, or just to prevent health issues. The most important of all and the first step towards quitting the smoking habit is to find out if you are truly willing to quit. When you are not interested and you know that you would be tempted, you can never stay quit. Only start your regime when you are totally ready.
If you believe you are ready, make it a point to write down your goal and to break it down so that every time you achieve the smaller goal, it gives you confidence to go ahead. Give yourself dates to achieve every single goal. On achievement of every little goal like “I’ll smoke only two cigarettes a day by the end of this week” you have reason to celebrate. And most importantly you have to be committed to what you do. Never forget that only when you follow your regime, you can actually quit!
And the best part is you don’t have to do this alone. If at some time you feel you can’t do it alone, inform your immediate family and close friends or probably your peers at work of what you intend to do. This way they will help you stay on track even if you are tempted.
Smoking is a habit and I’m sure is difficult to quit. But if you fail the first time, never give up. Set better achievable goals this time and you can always get your health back!

Relax Yourself !
All of us have busy lives. Especially living in the city is nothing like the country side. There is so much peace and serenity in the country side that is totally lacking in the cities. Not that we can change our cities and take them back to what they were once. The city is always noisy, bustling with traffic, always highly lit up and bright. This is of course a very nice way of living. Be it day or night, the city is busy. Especially night life is so happening these days. Whether you choose to be an active part of the night life or not is completely your choice to make. But during the day, we have a lot of work to do. Lot of goals to accomplish and a lot of responsibilities to hand over. Do we all spend at least some time to save up energy for all these tasks? We just don’t think about it because we only have time to run around completing all the work. But it is very important that we relax our body, mind and soul. We need few moments of inner silence and peace to unite all the three and to reflect. Meditation is the most important and effective tool to better living.

Tips to Avoid Hearing Problems
Though there are a lot of hearing aids available these days to our convenience, there is nothing like preserving your original ears at their best. There are different degrees to which your ears can be impaired of hearing and this is caused due to various reasons. If we don’t want to be among the hearing impaired we need to educate ourselves as to what is necessary to prevent illnesses affecting the ears and what all we could do to maintain our ears at their best. The major causes for hearing loss could be ear infections, cleaning your ears too much, indulging in water sports not knowing how to prevent your ears, straining your ears with obviously loud sounds and music, etc. It could also be hereditary or probably your ears are just ageing as any other part of the human body does. Whatever the reason is, it is never fun to be deaf! So how do we prevent hearing loss? The best way to not go deaf is to prevent yourselves from the above causes. Make sure you are vaccinated against infections, no matter how old you are.
If you want to clean your ears just clean the external ears and do not touch the internal parts. If you feel you internal ears aren’t clean and might have wax, go to an expert to get it cleaned. Never dig your ears! When your ears are exposed to a noisy environment or loud sounds during normal course of the day, make sure you use ear protection. Same applies to water sports.

Something About Sleeping

Do you find it difficult to sleep? Do you spend long hours in your bed without a wink of sleep in your eyes? Do you find it hard to manage your everyday routine when this continues?
We find it hard to sleep only because of one major reason – stress. You could be stressed out for various reasons and it is very human to have so many things in mind. You could find it stressful because of a situation at home, or a medical condition, loads of work to finish with your boss right behind your back, financial difficulties or an argument with your partner. Every little thing that happens during the day and all of our long term issues bring stress to the mind.
The answer to this is to try and relax. The more relaxed you are it helps you better to fall asleep faster. Now when I say relax I know it is not easy. The moment you hit the bed and close your eyes there are a hundred things on your mind and not one single issue you can actually concentrate on. So when you can’t find a proper solution to any of your problems, then probably this isn’t the time to think about it and rack your brains!
Probing a little further, one more reason that could possible keep us from having a good night’s sleep is the environment that we choose to sleep in. Stop giving excuses to watch television late into the night. If your favorite show is after 10.00 PM record it and watch it the next day. If there is something else that could distract you like a thin beam of light, think of how to shut it all out and make your room conducive to sleep.

Tips To Control Asthma
Not all of us have breathing difficulties or disorders. The air that we breathe in is not hundred percent pure. It has a lot of other things mixed in it. This could or could not prove to be harmful to our breathing system. These particles that are mixed with the air are microscopic and therefore are not visible to the naked eye. Some of us have a strong breathing system but others have a weak respiratory system. The things that have very little or absolutely no effect on us might spell danger for them. This totally depends on how good a respiratory system you have and how immune it is.
Talking of the respiratory system, one of the major prevailing ailments today is asthma. People suffering with asthma need to be very careful. It is always better they breathe only pure air with good oxygen content in it. But unfortunately, our cities are all polluted to their level best! And therefore the difficulty. It is important for asthma patients to be conscious about their environment because any little complications in the air mixture could cause them to become breathless. The air pipes that take the air that they breathe to the lungs get blocked easily and cease to supply air to the lungs. This is something serious. So it is better for them to stay in places where they can breathe in fresh air.

Stay Clean
We talk loads about staying healthy. We discuss what is healthy. We eat what is healthy. We have diet charts drawn up. But do we even think or care about hygiene? Leave alone personal hygiene, what about hygiene at the kitchen?
We really think and believe we are all clean and maintain everything around us the same way. But we miss out on basic yet important activities of hygiene. These are very simple to follow. But because of our busy and hectic schedules, and the number of things that we have on mind we tend to forget and miss out on very simple practices which are very hygienic and in turn reward us with great health. Keep your hands always clean. Best thing to do is to wash them after every single job. Thereby you don’t spread the germs. As for the work space clean it after every job. It is very simple.
Just spray the disinfectant and wipe it with a clean cloth. It is as simple as this! Use only disposable kitchen towels so that you will not use the same cloth over and over again, thereby not contaminating anything. As for dish cloths have a lot of them in store. And make sure every time you use them they were washed and dried clean the last time. As for cutting boards, the choice is yours. But the advice is the same. Keep them clean.
